Asineria Arculà
The Asineria Arculà was born in May 2007, the passion of Ms Cristina, owner of B & B Cascina Bezzecca for this wonderful animal: a close associate of man, has ensured the human species survival and development millennium with the advent of mechanization the donkey farm has been gradually disappearing, and some breeds are now endangered. The objective is to reassess the Asineria Arculà and raising awareness of this animal sweet, affectionate, curious and determined according to the canons of proper ethological approach.
In the past, in our area, each household had at least a donkey grazed in the summer carefree during breaks from work, and the winter shelter in the stables in the company of other farm animals. The most popular stalls were those inside the structure of the house, made from "gias", or bed of straw where the animals were resting, communicating with the "reu" means the place where the evening grandparents gathered to tell their stories ( meet our present television or computer).
The Asineria Arculà was a small barn on the north and adjacent to gias and reu, generally occupied by a mare with her baby. Furthermore, "Arcul", in Piemonte, it means retreat. These are the conditions upon which the Asineria Arculà. With the advent of technology and the pace forced to chase the future, man has lost the ability to stop, observe and enjoy the moment and why not, even backwards sometimes to go forward ... we must be able to go back!
Hence the proposed educational tour of the B & B Cascina Bezzecca which aims to rediscover these values with the help of donkeys and their irrepressible company.
We arrange for groups, schools, groups and individuals but also families, trekking and excursions but also simple activities towards this very nice animal.
